2nd Friday Art Walk (February 10, 2012)

February 10, 2012 is Second Friday Art Walk in Colonial Beach, VA

1. Potomac River Fisheries Commission (222 Taylor St., low brick building) You may park free in this parking lot for the Second Friday Art Walk  -  February brings part two and a new group exhibition by local artists.  This month’s artists include Sue Henderson,  Karen Julihn, Sandy Staley and Susan Tilt.  Come see the terrific Part II of “Warm Visions for Cool Evenings”.  Enjoy a wonderful variety of styles and media from four CBAG member artists.  There will be art never displayed before on Second Friday. All this and chocolate too.

2. Jarrett Thor Fine Arts (100 Taylor St – first floor of tall condo building).  The JarrettThor Fine Arts gallery artists will present “Mid-Winter Melange”.  The gallery artists will be featured with works of various sizes and differing media.  Some art has not been seen before in the gallery.  Artists include Chiminello, Freitas, Juhnke, Liberace, Marckel, Merrill, Rafii, Troiani, the Thors, and more.  The small gallery will show the works of Ebbie Hynson, held over by popular demand.  Champagne and chocolates will be served!

3. Pottery By Hand  (10 A and B Hawthorn St.).  This winter’s pottery students will be highlighted.  This gallery now has two addresses (A and B) and a number of resident artists producing and/or exhibiting painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, fiber, and jewelry.  New artists will be appearing soon as well as your favorite artists from Second Fridays at Pottery By Hand.

4. Riverview Inn  (Office – 24 Hawthorn St.) –  February features art from local acrylic artists:  Olivia Cannaway (appearing for the first time at Second Friday) and Andrea Clement (our own CBAG artist).  Goodies always abound here!

5. Esco Limited (116 Hawthorn St.) –  Art by owner Elizabeth Escobar and vintage posters.  From now through March – inventory reduction sale – everything 10 to 50% off.

6. Visions by Shirl (next door to Esco on Hawthorn St.) –  New art from artists Maria Roe, Gerrald Higgs and Shirley Rush.   Enjoy wine and chocolate here while you enjoy the art.

10. LaLa’s Hair Studio (215B Washington St. – Becky Hubbard is the exhibiting artist this month.  She will be displaying her painting and fiber art.  Don’t miss LaLa’s to experience the art, the goodies and the ambience that are always prevalent at this venue.
